ALIPSE PROTOTYPE

This prototype cabinet is veneered in richly figured lacewood and finished in a hand-applied French polish, bringing the surface to life with depth and movement that shifts subtly with the viewer’s position.

The fully rounded body reinforces this fluidity while quietly demonstrating the craftsmanship required to veneer multidimensional curves. The wood form tucks seamlessly into a brass and steel base, where legs composed of individually shaped strips of solid brass lift the piece with sculptural lightness.

Garage-style doors enhance the distinct character of the design, finished with custom brass pulls that echo the curvature of the legs.
